Mirage has been created from sand collected from seventy deserts across the world, in a global act of collaboration.

Pumice Desert

Pumice Desert, North America, is a dry meadow and pumice flat, experiencing cold winters and dry summers. “As a geologist, it was exciting to be able to contribute to Mirage, particularly as the sand I collected was from two very different and geologically interesting sites in the beautiful state of Oregon, the Alvord Desert and the Pumice Desert. What a wonderful way to celebrate the spectacular diversity of the world’s deserts!” Brennan T Jordan
